Payment questions
Can I pay with cash?
Yes! But we prefer online transfers at all times. Of course, if you just arrived and you don't have an Australian bank account yet, it is absolutely alright.
Do you accept card payments?
Yes! You can choose one of our payment service providers, and you can use your Credit, Debit cards or PayPal transfers. Please be mindful that bank charges may apply depending on the payment service you use.
Can I pay with bank transfer?
Yes, this is what we prefer most.
Do I get invoice about my transactions?
Of course, all payments invoiced.
What is the bond?
The bond is a security deposit, to cover any loss or damage caused to the property, room or equipment by you. It is 100% refundable after you moved out if there was no damage caused.
How much is the bond?
It's equivalent to 2 weeks worth of rent fee.
What if I'm in trouble, and cannot pay on due date?
You must contact us as soon as possible! We are quite flexible, and we understand that, sometimes life isn't easy. We have solutions for most of the issues.
What if I forgot to pay on the my payment day?
Don't worry you cannot forget it! Our automated invoicing system will send you a reminder via email with your invoice. In that email you can also find the payment details, amount due and all other important information.
When do I need to pay my rent?
Usually on the same day every week, when you first moved in. For example, if you moved in on a Tuesday, your payment day will be on Tuesdays.
Do I need to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly?
The best option is weekly, but you can pay fortnightly or monthly. It's up to you.
Can I pay in advance?
Yes. If you want to pay for example 3 weeks in advance, you can do it. Contact us for arrangement.
Housing questions
Is there a minimum duration that I need to live in your accommodation?
Yes, the minimum stay is 4 weeks.
Is bedding provided?
Yes, when you move in, your bed will be fitted with freshly washed bedding.
Can I lock my room's door?
Of course. If you live in a shared room, only you, your roommate and our staff will have a key to your room. In private rooms, only you and us have keys.
Do you provide shower gel?
No. Everyone has different taste and skin. You need to supply your own personal hygiene and grooming materials.
Can I use my bedding?
Yes, just let us know in advance and we will remove ours.
Is the kitchen suitable for cooking?
Sure, our kitchens are appropriately equipped.
What if something is broken?
If something is broken or doesn't work, contact us, and we will fix or replace it.
Can I turn to you if I have issues with my roommate/housemate?
Yes! We take complaints seriously like these. Contact us immediately and we will take the necessary steps.
Can I change the house/room?
Yes. If you want to change your room or house, you can do it based on availability. Contact us and we will organise it for you. You can also upgrade/downgrade your current room. For example, if you are living in one of our comfortable private room, and you find out that it is not suited for your budget, just contact us, and you can change your room to a more savvy shared room. And vice-versa.
Do I need to inform you, if I want to leave?
Yes please, the leaving notice is 2 weeks.
What do you do against pests, like cockroaches for example?
We regularly apply pest controlling solutions keep the number of pests in our houses to a minimum. With that said, please don't forget that cockroaches Australia are common animals, so you might see one occasionally. The risk of having pests in the house is also reduced by keeping it clean. As part of our service we provide cleaning for the common areas twice a week. If you do your bit to keep up cleanness in these places between our cleaners visits and keep your own room clean and tidy, chances are high that pests will stay away.
General questions
How often are your accommodations cleaned and when?
Our cleaning service visits the houses 2 times a week. The times vary between 8 am to 6 pm. But the days are fixed and vary from house to house.
Does anyone from your company - other than the cleaners - visits the house?
Yes, our management regularly patrol the houses for multiple reasons. For example, checking the cleanness and quality, making inspections, for safety reasons and more. You can expect them anytime, even in the evening, but they would do their best not to disturb the tenants without reason. We are not just talking about management on site, we do it!
It is allowed for me to welcome guests in my room?
Yes, but not overnight. Overnight guest will need an approval from us and required to pay for overnight accommodation service.
Are the shared rooms coeducated?
No, genders are separated to rooms. Exept for couples of course, or siblings upon request. If you and your housemate (boy-girl) want to move in the same room, you can do it, we just need a written consent from both of you.
Do I need to sign any agreement to move in?
Yes, we have rental agreement.
If I have a friend who want to move in to the same accommodation where I live, can I bring him/her?
Yes, If we have a vacant room/bed.
Do you have surcharges?
If you caused any damage or lost your keys you need to cover the cost. Hovewer, if you can buy the same new item, it is ok for us too.
What if I forgot my key in my room, and the wind shut the door in the middle of the night. How can I get in?
Each of our accommodations have key safes with spare keys. All safes are accessible easily, you will need to contact our 24/7 support number so we can send you the access code, and you can get the spare key. Codes are reset regularly, so please don't consider these as an alternative to using your own keys.
What if I need to leave the accommodation for urgent reasons, for example: I need to leave Australia
We understand that life can take unexpected turns. In cases like this please contact us first, and if you can provide supporting documents for your circumstances that require you to leave in less than 2 weeks, it's absolutely acceptable and we are happy to consider your leave without withholding anything from your bond.
Can I use my bond to pay my last two weeks?
No, your bond cannot be used to cover anything other than our loss (if any) after you left.
Can I bring my pet?
No, unfortunately no pets are allowed.
